For the better part of 12 years I had been traveling upwards of 2 hours a day to and from Milford. It broke my heart leaving my young family at home, even if it was to support my other passion in Essenza. So now, I no longer want to choose. I think I have finally manifested the perfect way to merge my work and family life. I moved the studio to Lebanon, Ohio... extremely close to home ;-) It started with me clearing out a very dirty storage garage. It was scary, tiring, and at times I thought I could not do this. However...it was totally worth it in the end!
I had some help from a very talented handyman and friend. If you ever need help with a home project, I highly recommend Odds & Ends Handyman Services. Rick and his teammate Tom were amazing! They took my vision of the space and made it come to life.
These images show just how much work needed done. Once I moved out all of the clutter, the beginnings of the drywall started. Then the installation of a 9' window, the start of my giant Cyclorama Wall & a cut out for attic storage. What made me feel like things were really coming together is when my desk was finished and the barn doors were being stained and hung. I also spent a very long night installing my first display on the fresh drywall.
I've already photographed some awesome sessions here! I could not be happier with Essenza's new home! Moving here also means we can take advantage of my 2 1/2 acre portrait park of a backyard. I can't wait to show you more as I get settled in. Stay tuned for some upcoming Seasonal Specials!
PS-Isn't my little helper cute?! :-)
