Okay, seriously I am OBSESSED with everything about this photo session. Meet Arlene and Steven! They just moved here from Illinois... but they've lived in multiple other states throughout the years, too. They came to Essenza to have their photos taken to celebrate 50 years of marriage! It does not get any more adorable than that. Oh wait... it might. Because their relationship is truly what every young couple yearns to become after spending that many years with their significant other. They're literally best friends and they joke around like nobody's business. You can tell that their love is still so present and real. I could spend hours talking to them about their life story, and if I'm being honest I probably have spent a few hours intently listening to all they've had to say since meeting them.
It's refreshing to participate in this type of session at the studio. 90% of the time we're photographing high school seniors, family or children (which, don't get me wrong, is a lot of fun!) But to capture such a milestone for SUCH a sweet couple is like a breath of fresh air. We cannot say enough good things about Arlene and Steven and the love they have for one another. We were so happy to have met them, and we hope to continue to see them around since they are now living in the Milford area!
Congratulations on 50 years together! May your love, laughter and happiness continue to grow for many more years to come!

Frank Drake - I have known Steve since grade school when our two schools played against each other in basketball. And then in High School together. After High School we were in the National Guard together. You won't fine a nicer guy anywhere! So this doesn't surprise me! I would like to wish them a very Happy 50th Anniversary together! In this day and age it is remarkable for couples to be together that long! ( My wife and I have been married 46 years and went together five years before that.) I would like to congratulate you on your photography skills.
